The IPL has been known or producing rich talents over the years. These raw talents have then got an opportunity to play represent the Indian National Team. Players like Ravi Ashwin, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravi Jadeja have all come up the ranks thanks to the IPL.

There are more such raw young talents who if given a longer rope to prove themselves in the IPL might just go on to play for team India in few years down the line.

Here are the top 3 Players, who according to us have great potential, caliber & Skill set required to succeed at the international level.

Devdutt Padikkal –

The Karnataka & RCB opener till last year will be donning the pink jersey this year to play for Rajasthan Royals. However, the player is yet to prove his real strength and abilities at the international stage and would be eyeing to cement his spot as an opener in the near future for Team India. Padikkal has scored 979 runs at a decent strike rate of 125.7 till now in T20 competitions with an average of 31.6. For an opener who looks to anchor the innings padikkal has so far done the job for the teams that he has played for. He would need to show a bit more consistency and better mental strength.

Tilak Verma –

Another left hander who looks an absolute beast in T20, The tall 19-year-old left hander from Mumbai Indians. The opener has got a strong start to his T20 career with a strong performance against Rajasthan royals. We saw a wide variety of stroke play and some intelligent batting and toying with the field against Ravi Ashiwn & Chahal specially who are India’s specialist bowlers. He has a healthy strike rate of 146.2 in the 5 matches that he has played in his career overall. If he maintains the strong hitting capabilities and keeps his fitness upto the standards of Indian cricket, We shall see him wear the Blue Jersey sooner than later.

Umran Malik –

The fast and fiery pacer from Sunrisers Hyderabad has already got the attention of cricket pundits around the world. The bowlers at an average pace of 145+ which is the maximum speed some bowlers can bowl in the domestic circuit. He has some raw pace that can rush the batters at will. A has a good reverse Yorker. The right arm pacer has a dot ball % of 46.3 in his career. Umran has picked up 6 wickets so far in his career with an economy of 9.15, which is decent in T20 cricket. The bowler will be coached by the all time great- Mr. Dale Steyn this year at SRH and we as Indians would love that considering he is just years old and has lots and lots to learn from STEYN GUN!
